Local Control Overview
"Municipalities and local school boards should be able to preserve control over many decisions when prudent. State policy should allow varied communities to administer resources as they see fit. Evansville is different from Gary. Rural is different from urban. Rural communities should not be competing with urban communities for funding. These unique areas should be recognized as communities with different needs and given the freedom to allocate resources to areas most beneficial to their citizens."
